How did 24 March become the central site of memory in Serbia? In this episode, we are looking at the renaissance of the memory of the 1999 NATO intervention in Serbia. We are discussing how people lived through the 78 days of bombing, if and how these personal memories relate to current official memory politics and what the dominant discourses omit. Our guest is Elisa Satjukow from the University of Leipzig, the author of book “The Other Side of the Intervention: A Serbian History of Experience of the 1999 NATO Bombing”.
